GreenAction has an active and open approach to environmental management. We welcome and encourage the opportunity to share our goals and successes with our customers and suppliers, working in partnership to ensure GreenAction minimises its impact on the environment.
Our environmental systems are fully integrated with business activities, combining environmental benefits with business efficiency.

GreenAction is committed to minimise the impacts of our operations on the environment by means of a programme of continuous improvement. In particular we will:
• Manage our environmental responsibilities and encourage compliance with UK, Eire and
EU regulations as applicable
• Assess and manage the environmental impact of our operations
• Maintain an Environmental Management System
• Exercise product stewardship in conjunction with our suppliers
• Monitor continuous improvement
• Commit to prevent pollution wherever practical within our business operation
• Communicate our policy to employees, customers and suppliers and make available to
other interested parties.
GreenAction aims to encourage customers to switch to recycled products as well as increasing awareness of sustainable office products and helping customers make environmentally informed purchasing decisions.
GreenAction is working closely with its customers and suppliers to develop best practice examples of green procurement and improve its environmental offering.
GreenAction reduces its environmental impact through careful and informed waste management and a progressive approach to energy use.
Our Environmental performance is reviewed regularly in terms of targets, objectives, responsibilities, key performance indicators and time scale.
The three top areas of focus are waste management, fleet management and sustainable forestry. GreenAction has made environmental performance a key responsibility of the entire management and is discussed at every monthly board meeting.
Training and awareness
Our environmental management system policy, documentation and guidelines are electronically based and are available to all staff alongside our ISO9001:2000 registered Quality system and Health & Safety information. Managers and staff directly involved in our environmental programme receive additional training.
Commitment to environmental controls through effective health and safety management
Health and Safety and Environmental Management both work to a similar ethos and management standard. The simplified aim of both is the protection of people and resources. Health and Safety assists in controlling the environment through a variety of controls including Daily electrical checks ensure that staff turn off all non essential electrical equipment at the end of the shift. This is to reduce fire risks from electrical equipment; it also ensures that electricity usage is reduced to a minimum.
A range of additional services with low environmental impact:
• Printed Stationery - for business cards, letterheads and compliment slips
• Documents on Demand - for bound reports, presentations and marketing bulletins
• Compatible with Microsoft Office or PDF file formats - so customers need no special
software
• Low quantities - as few as 250 business cards or 500 letterheads can be ordered
Offering environmental choices to our customers
We offer a wide range of product choices, based on raw materials from sustainably managed forests or recycled sources; some with independent certification or eco-labels, plus environmentally aware ordering and supply systems, offering environmental choices to our customers. GreenAction offers a range of papers . . . for all printing technology from multifunctional through to high quality inkjet printers covering all your office needs. GreenAction is clear that the papers it sells must meet strict environmental as well as technical standards. We actively work with our suppliers to find products that match our values of sustainable forest management, recycling and pollution prevention.

It diminishes the paper trail and gives you real time information at the click of a mouse; eProcurement Services tailored to your specific needs. GreenAction supports a wide range of eProcurement technologies, market places and purchase platforms. We provide electronic catalogues and electronic documents all of which help reduce the need for filing and storage of paper documents.
